Kim Hubbard is a photographer and photo editor. She has photographed in locations ranging from Patagonia to Dubai, and has led photo expeditions to Costa Rica and Panama. She is a senior photo editor for National Geographic magazine where she works primarily on natural history and environmental stories. Prior to that she was the photo editor of Audubon magazine for 11 years. Her editing work has been honored by American Photography, PDN, SPD, Communication Arts, and the Art Director's Club, among others, and was a finalist for the ASME General Excellence honor in 2007, 2010 and 2011. She has also served as a judge for Pictures of the Year International, Communication Arts, and PDN. She received her master's degree in photojournalism from the University of Missouri. In her spare time, she creates handmade jewelry which is available at blue skies boutique in Chattanooga, TN.
